Partnership

The APF has developed long-term partnerships with many of Australia’s leading health professionals, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies to boost medical knowledge about the pituitary gland and pituitary disease. The Foundation works closely with Australian and overseas organisations dedicated to improving our understanding of pituitary-related diseases and theirtreatment.
Australia’s top endocrinologists, neurosurgeons, radiotherapists and endocrine nurses work in partnership with the APF through:

  • clinical trials
  • writing articles for our Web site and newsletter
  • patient seminars and discussions
  • highlighting the APF services to patients
  • distributing APF literature
  • displaying posters and brochures in clinics and hospital wards
  • promoting Pituitary Awareness Week

Heath Professionals contribute greatly to ensure the integrity of the information provided to pituitary patients and families through the Foundation. Their time and expertise is donated through their presentations at our seminars as well as supplying the Foundation with educational and informative articles.Pharmaceutical companies continue to sponsor APF educational activities and remaining ever conscious of belt tightening in these difficult economic times, the Foundation would like to express it’s sincere appreciation. All activities, programs and content of programs sponsored by pharmaceutical companies are independently prepared by the Foundation and its honorary speakers.

The following pharmaceutical companies have contributed towards the Foundation's annual activities. Without this input we would find it difficult to raise pituitary awareness in the way of educational seminars and associated activities.

An additional thank you must go to Ipsen which sponsors our newsletter. All content is independently prepared by the Foundation.

If you would like to contribute an article for our website or newsletter, or if you’d like to make a donation or sponsor the APF’s activities, please email the national office or phone 1300 331 807.
